WASHINGTON, June 1, 2010 – The National Telecommunications and Information Administration will host the 11th annual International Symposium on Advanced Radio Technologies next month.

The symposium will run from July 27-30, 2010 in Boulder, Colo.  The focus of this year’s conference is spectrum sharing technologies, including state-of-the-art technology developments and a dialogue on the policy implications of spectrum sharing, according to the NTIA.

Scheduled keynote speakers at the free conference are NTIA chief  Larry Strickling and Julius Knapp, chief of the Office of Engineering and Technology at the Federal Communications Commission.

“The symposium is an excellent opportunity to learn more about cutting-edge, emerging technologies,” said Strickling. “We also expect an informative and lively debate on the policy implications of spectrum sharing, an important public interest issue.”
