The leadership transition took effect Sept. 4.

Archtop said the change is intended to support the company’s continued growth and long-term strategy while maintaining continuity in its operations.

DeMond will remain involved with the company as executive chairman where he will[ focus on growth initiatives](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/fidium-breaking-ground-on-bead-work-signing-hyperscaler-deals/), and relationships with key stakeholders.

Taub brings experience from both the financial and operational sides of the company to his new role. As CFO and COO, he has been involved in Archtop’s efforts to expand its fiber network and operations.

The company has been expanding its fiber-to-the-home network [across the Hudson Valley](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/archtop-fiber-breaks-ground-on-project-seeking-to-connect-rural-n-y-county/), seeking to bring high-speed broadband to residents, businesses and communities in the region.

The leadership change comes as Archtop continues to invest in expanding its network. In April 2025, the company announced that it had secured nearly $200 million in new capital to support its long-term expansion plans and enhance its broadband services.

Archtop has also continued adding communities to its fiber footprint. In June, the company announced an expansion into Sand Lake, New York, bringing its fiber service to additional homes and businesses.

The company said the transition is designed to[ build on that momentum](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/beyond-bead-fiber-industry-reflects-upon-use-cases-at-fiber-connect-2026/) rather than represent a change in its overall direction.

“Keith has been an integral part of Archtop’s growth and success,” DeMond said in the announcement. “His leadership, operational expertise and deep understanding of our business make him the right person to lead Archtop into its next phase.”
