WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2026 – AT&T is adding Amazon Leo satellite broadband to its enterprise and public-sector connectivity offerings, giving customers another option for staying connected in remote areas or when terrestrial networks are unavailable.

[AT&T Business said](https://about.att.com/story/2026/amazon-leo-satellite.html?source=EC00EM0000000000E&wtExtndSource=09082026&wtExtndSource=09082026) Tuesday it has reached an agreement with Amazon Leo to offer the low Earth orbit satellite service to business customers nationwide. AT&T said it is the first U.S. telecommunications provider to offer Amazon Leo as part of a managed connectivity platform that combines satellite with its existing fiber and 5G networks.

Amazon Leo is [Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband initiative](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/amazon-leo-to-launch-service-later-this-year-is-that-good-news-for-the-bead-program/), which is designed to provide high-speed connectivity from space. The company has deployed about 400 satellites and has not initiated consumer service. AT&T said its agreement with Amazon is part of a broader effort to give businesses access to connectivity and cloud services across multiple network technologies.

The company said the satellite service is intended to [complement, rather than replace](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/at-t-adds-equal-number-of-fiber-and-fixed-wireless-subs-292-000/), its terrestrial networks. AT&T said fiber and 5G remain the backbone of its network, carrying 98% of its traffic, while satellite can provide an additional layer of redundancy and reach for customers operating in areas where terrestrial connectivity is limited.

“Customers have no shortage of connectivity options,” said **Shawn Hakl,** senior vice president and head of product at AT&T Business. He said enterprise and public-sector customers need connectivity that can remain reliable across different locations and network conditions.

The service could be useful for businesses with remote or distributed operations, including companies in agriculture, construction, mining, oil and gas, logistics and transportation. AT&T also pointed to temporary deployments, emergency response and other situations where a terrestrial connection may not be readily available.

Under the arrangement, AT&T will manage the Amazon Leo service directly for enterprise customers. The company will provide the equipment needed to connect to the satellite network, as well as installation, technical support and billing. Customers will have a single AT&T point of contact rather than managing separate terrestrial and satellite providers.

The companies are moving through a phased deployment and technical validation process before the service becomes available. AT&T has not yet announced pricing, specific service configurations or availability dates for enterprise customers.

The companies said the expanded offering could also extend connectivity to remote, rural and previously underserved areas while providing businesses with additional network redundancy.

For AT&T, the move [adds satellite connectivity](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/fcc-grants-key-waiver-to-amazon-leo-keeping-competitive-pressure-on-musks-starlink/) to a network strategy that increasingly spans fiber, 5G and space-based infrastructure.
