WASHINGTON, June 16, 2026 – Cable One is pouring new money into its southern Mississippi network.

The company said it has invested nearly **$36 million** over the past three years to expand and upgrade its regional Gulf Coast fiber infrastructure[, according to a June 12 announcement](https://www.sparklight.com/news/sparklight-invests-to-enhance-connectivity-across-the-mississippi-gulf-coast?ref=broadbandbreakfast.com). Cable One, which operates as Sparklight, now runs a 31,000‑mile fiber network across 24 states and serves about 1 million broadband customers nationally.

“Our investments help ensure families and businesses across our communities have access to the fast, dependable connectivity they need today,” said Charlie Oakes, Sparklight’s senior regional director.

Residential customers along the Gulf Coast can access speeds between 2 Gbps and 6 Gbps. Sparklight Business offers fiber internet, Ethernet, voice and other services for commercial customers.
