# Starlink Passes 4 Million Subscribers Globally

WASHINGTON, Sep. 30, 2024 - [The country's leading](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/congress-sends-white-house-bill-boosting-leo-satellite-launches/) satellite-delivered Internet service provider continues to attract customers.

**Elon Musk’s** Starlink said that it has surpassed 4 million global subscribers across 100 countries, [up from three](https://broadbandbreakfast.com/congress-sends-white-house-bill-boosting-leo-satellite-launches/) million subscribers reported at the end of May.

Starlink is a subsidiary of Musk’s SpaceX astronautics company. The company launched its first direct-to-cell satellites in January with the mission of providing mobile connectivity anywhere on Earth.

The company recently announced a deal with major airlines including United and Air France. It already offers free service on Hawaiian Airlines.

“With Starlink onboard your flight, you’ll have access to the world’s most advanced high-speed internet from gate to gate, and all the miles in between,” said **Gwynne Shotwell**, president and COO of SpaceX.
