Merger: Paramount Skydance Corp. took some shots at the Netflix-Warner Bros. Discovery merger this week on Capitol Hill but locating the fiery commentary wasn’t an easy task. Rather than found on the House Judiciary Committee’s homepage, Paramount Skydance’s two-page submission appeared in a place called the House of Representatives Committee Repository, which is apparently an archive used by committees to warehouse filings, articles, and testimony not presented in person. Anyway, Paramount Skydance Corp. on Wednesday sharply criticized the proposed Netflix–Warner Bros. Discovery merger, arguing it would violate antitrust law and further entrench Netflix’s dominance in the streaming market, according to a statement submitted to Congress. (More after paywall.)
