WASHINGTON July 19, 2010 – The Mexican government recently completed an auction of the 1.9 Ghz band which raised 2 billion pesos ($156 million) and the 1.7 Ghz band which raised 4.91 billion pesos ($379.7 million). The government now plans to auction the 3.4 Ghz band and 3.7Ghz bands and possibly the 700Mhz band. The Mexican telecommunications commission has yet to release the names of the winners.
