Auction: FCC Chairman Brendan Carr says creation of a new “Super Band” of spectrum will position the U.S. to lead the world in next‑generation wireless services. Carr said the FCC will vote July 22 on rules for auctioning 160 megahertz of Upper C‑Band spectrum next year, following 2025 legislation signed by President Trump that restored the agency’s auction authority. He told reporters the move, combined with earlier Lower C‑Band work, will create a contiguous block of 440 MHz of mid‑band spectrum for 5G, 6G and future services. (More after paywall)
