WASHINGTON, August 27, 2010 – Ever wanted to know how to build your own radar or the science of signal strength? The Institute of Telecommunications Sciences has released a collection of online training and educational videos for the public that explain various telecommunications topics.
ITS Director Al Vincent said: “The publication of these videos reflects ITS’s goal to be not only a technical resource for telecommunication standards development, but also a trusted, impartial informational resource for industry, students, the general public, and other government organizations.”
The videos are hosted by Frank Sanders, a physicist and electrical engineer who leads ITS Telecommunications Theory Division and regularly authors contributions to the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations agency focusing on telecommunications and technology issues.
The ITS is a branch of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
