February 20, 2019 – The Rural Telecommunications Congress comes together once every year in Austin, Texas, jointly with the Broadband Communities Summit.
Rural broadband issues are very much in the news. Among the topics that will be discussed this year at the summit are “Rural Broadband Success Stories.” This panel will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019, and include officials from the Appalachian Regional Commission, a fiber provider to Rural America, and a wireless internet service provider serving rural Texas.
The session will be moderated by Jane Smith Patterson, a partner at Broadband Catalysts and a long-time member of the RTC board.
The Rural Telecommunications Congress (RTC), a 20-year-old grassroots organization devoting to advocating for better broadband in Rural America. A core part of our mission is to highlight examples of state broadband planning, broadband infrastructure, and instances of adoption and use.
