Wednesday, November 24, 2021, 12 Noon ET — Giving Thanks for Better Broadband
Although primarily focused on physical broadband networks, the Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act passed on November 5 also includes $2.75 billion for digital equity and inclusion. This special “Giving Thanks for Better Broadband” edition of Broadband Breakfast Live Online will probe the dimensions of broadband adoption and digital equity. We’ll hear from experts on digital inclusion and how to make sure that robust broadband networks are widely used.

Hernan Galperin is an internationally recognized expert on Internet policy and digital inequality. His research uses surveys, field experiments and other quantitative methods to understand the determinants of broadband adoption and use, and how these are linked to the mechanisms of social stratification.
Drew Clark is the Editor and Publisher of BroadbandBreakfast.com and a nationally-respected telecommunications attorney. Drew brings experts and practitioners together to advance the benefits provided by broadband. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, he served as head of a State Broadband Initiative, the Partnership for a Connected Illinois. He is also the President of the Rural Telecommunications Congress.
