Cathay Pacific to Offer in Flight Wifi

WASHINGTON July 12, 2010- Cathay Pacific is the latest airline to announce inflight Wifi for passengers. The airline has partnered with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to equip the entire Cathay Pacific fleet with high speed internet connections. Each aircraft will receive a 50Mbps connection which will then be split amongst the passengers. The airline plans to have the service for their entire fleet by early 2012. No prices have been announced yet for the service; however Delta and Virgin both currently offer the service for $12.95 for all flights over three hours.
