China Telecom to Expand Its Fiber-to-the-Home Network
WASHINGTON, June 1, 2010 – Xinhua News Agency is reporting that China Telecom is going to expand its fiber-to- the-home network to include over 18 million connections.
WASHINGTON, June 1, 2010 – China Telecom, one of the nation’s top telecommunications firm, is going to expand its fiber to the home network to include over 18 million connections, reports Xinhua News Agency. This expansion will cover 70 percent of cities and towns with a minimum connection of 12 megabits per second with an eventual goal of 100 mbps. The firm is privately run, but the Chinese government is the majority share holder.
